 rmation session on our new Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.\n\nOu
 r Program\n\nThe McGill Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) Mental Health Nurs
 e Practitioner Program\, along with its University of Quebec collaborators
 \, is one of two training programs in the province of Quebec. \n\nThe aim 
 of the program is to provide a unique opportunity for the development of a
 dvanced practice mental health nursing skills. Students will explore areas
  pertaining to services offered in the first\, second and third line to be
 come familiar with several roles\, encompassing one of communicator\, coll
 aborator\, manager\, scholar/professional advocate and leader. This will b
 e of importance when caring for individuals experiencing mental and physic
 al distress\, with or without addictions across the lifespan.\n\nA systemi
 c\, collaborative and strengths-based approach with the family is central 
 as thorough mental health evaluation\, pharmacotherapy and prescriptive au
 thority for invasive exams may become part of treatment. Education\, crisi
 s intervention\, planning\, liaison and follow-up are strong components of
