Siren song: City to test alert system Thursday afternoon
You may hear a loud siren Thursday afternoon as the City of Montreal, for the second year in a row, tests alert sirens in various parts of the city.
The tests will take place at 3:15 p.m. Five tests, of three minutes in duration, will be conducted simultaneously, none of them near McGill.
For more information on the tests and for links to websites advising Montrealers what to do in the event of an emergency, it’s best to visit this City of Montreal website.
Both that site and the site it links to about how to respond in an emergency, are in French only.
