Montreal Gazette - Meadowbrook development would be a win-win for city

(Op-ed by Raphael Fischler, director and associate professor at McGill University's School of Urban Planning): The recent announcement that the Tremblay-DeSousa administration would stop the construction of an exemplary "green" development on the Meadowbrook golf course is bad news. It raises the suspicion that in the face of vocal opposition by a small group, our elected officials will choose short-term political gains over long-term social, economic and environmental progress.
