Protesters have left the James Building

A protest that blocked access to the James Administration Building  and the James Annex for two hours this morning is over. The buildings are now reopened and staff may return to their offices. This is our last update.

Statement on fitness centre hours

The following statement was issued Friday, March 20, by Deputy Provost (Student Life and Learning) Ollivier Dyens and Drew Love, Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation:

A recent request that McGill provide women-only hours in its Athletics fitness centre has prompted discussion and debate on and off campus. The University has taken some time to consider, from various points of view, what is a challenging issue.

3465 Durocher St. to reopen Wednesday (final update)

The administrative building at 3465 Durocher St. will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11, while work will continue for several days, or perhaps even weeks, to restore water to the building.
