A major power failure today, April 16th, is affecting a large section of the downtown campus. We expect power to be restored by 10:30 a.m.

The CIS announced Wednesday a partnership with the Montreal Alouettes to hold the historic 50th Vanier Cup game at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, on the campus of McGill University in Montreal, marking the first-ever staging of the Canadian university football championship in the Quebec metropolis.

McGill wins national baseball championship

Tournament MVP Michael Tomasetta of Kirkland, Que., tossed a no-hitter and smacked a game-winning two-run homer as the McGill Redbirds hammered Dalhousie 8-0 to capture the Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association championship.

McGill University established a Canadian record for academic prowess among its intercollegiate sports programs in the 2005-06 school year. The Department of Athletics produced 147 student-athletes who earned Academic All-Canadian status under Canadian Interuniversity Sport guidelines.
