The International Training Course on Neuroimaging of Epilepsy will take place virtually at The Neuro (McConnell Brain Imaging Centre of the Montreal Neurological Institute)
The goal of our course is to give you an understanding of fundamentals and practical skills related to state-of-the-art MR imaging in epilepsy. In addition to offering methodological insights, we will place emphasis on clinical decision-making and translation to your local settings.
Our course is endorsed by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) as one of the activities for the new competency-based curriculum and provides Level 2 competencies (covering also level 1 and 3).
For the didactic portion, this year we decided to give you access to pre-recorded lectures a few weeks prior to the beginning of the course, so that you can listen to them at your convenience.
Please note that we will not present these lectures again during the course. Instead, each day will begin with a 1-hour Question and Answer (Q&A) period about the specific lectures of that day, as indicated in the program.
The teaching session will consist of case review of MRI data of epilepsy patients, including both visual and computer-assisted analyses. We will also have a session on task-based fMRI, covering pre-processing and case presentations. In addition, this year, we have added one session for case studies on the last day.
