RESEARCH WITH HUMAN SUBJECTSUpdated October 29

Current on-site research with human subjects may continue with people in the following four categories:

IMPORTANT Within the above three groups, subjects 70 years of age and older already coming into The Neuro for these purposes can still participate in research activities. New subjects 70 years and older cannot be recruited for studies until further notice.

Patients enrolled in clinical trials. Patients who are scheduled to come in for regular care or treatment. Patients who are scheduled to be seen by physicians on a regular basis. Patients already enrolled in on-going longitudinal studies, with the exception of people over 70 years of age. All in-person studies with healthy control subjects of all ages are CANCELLED until further notice.

These directives will be reassessed on November 23 or as the situation evolves.

Neuro Facilities will be working remotely from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. For any requests or inquiries, please email facilities.neuro [at] mcgill.ca. CONTACTS

Code-related emergencies inside the building (flood, fire, chemical spill, medical, etc.), dial 55555 from internal phone.

Emergencies outside the building, please call 911.

Work remotely during COVID-19

In the current climate, the well-being of our entire community - staff, patients and students - is at the forefront of our thinking. We are moving quickly to promote social distancing.

As of Monday the 16th of March, and until we communicate otherwise, all Institute (McGill) employees are expected to work remotely, unless otherwise notified. Managers are asked to exchange with their employees to plan for the coming weeks.

New rules governing events and gatherings at The Neuro

In order to limit potential exposure to COVID-19, The Neuro has adopted additional special measures for gatherings and events within The Neuro complex, including Neuro activities in other buildings such as the Lyman Duff and Ludmer buildings.
