Message from Dr. Rouleau: Research Ramp-up

Published: 5May2020

Dear Colleagues,

I hope you have been keeping well.

As you know, McGill sent out a memo over the weekend regarding the gradual research ramp-up on campus.

We are presently establishing guidelines specific to the ramp-up of the research operations at The Neuro, in compliance with both McGill and MUHC protocols (ex: entry points and triage, movement within the complex, health and safety considerations, issues related to human resources, etc.).

Please note that research operations will not resume all at once; our priority being the health and safety of our community, and minimizing person-to-person interactions by maintaining public health requirements.

Stefano Stifani is leading this research ramp-up process.  Each PI will have to submit a plan/apply for re-entry detailing how they will phase in lab personnel and adhere to safety guidelines.

The date, timings and transitions of phases will be decided on the basis of guidelines that will be shared with all of you in the next few days.

Best regards,

Guy Rouleau OQ MD PhD FRCP(C) FRSC
