The Wilder Penfield Lecture

Laura Helmuth earned a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of California and a graduate certificate in Science Communication from the University of California. Prior to joining Scientific American, she was the Health and Science Editor at The Washington Post and an editor and contributing writer for National Geographic, Smithsonian, Slate, and Science magazines.
