The 2019 Dorothy J. Killam Lecture will be delivered by Cornelia I. Bargmann, Torsten N. Wiesel Professor and Associate Director of the Shelby White and Leon Levy Center for Mind, Brain and Behaviour of Rockefeller University, New York, USA. Her lecture, "Genes, neurons, and circuits: organizing behavior across timescales " will take place on Thursday, April 4 at 4:00 pm in the Jeanne Timmins Amphitheatre of the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (3801 University Street). A reception will follow.
The MNI is one of five Killam Institutions supported by The Killam Trusts. The Dorothy J. Killam Lecture was established at The Neuro in 2004 to recognize women of influence in business, science, politics or the humanities. This important lecture is named after an extraordinary woman who, together with her husband, made immense contributions to Canadian education and science.
