DESCRIPTION:In-Person session\n\n \n\nDo We Really Have to Have this Conver
sation? Handling Difficult Conversations at Work\n\nA recent study came ou
t indicating that more than 80% of employees are running in fear of having
at least one ‘scary’ conversation at work.[1] These are important convers
ations that are being avoided thereby creating stress\, escalated conflict
\, resentment and disengagement. Some of these could include conflict with
a co-worker\, a concern you’d like to raise with your boss\, feedback to
 a direct report\, issues in a team\, to name a few.\n\nIn this dynamic 3-h
our interactive online workshop\, participants will:\n\n\n	Determine when i
t is desirable to have a difficult or hard conversation and when another a
pproach would be more appropriate\n	Learn their default preferences when fa
ced with one of these situations and how that might impact their decision
making and behaviours\n	Understand how to prepare for a conversation using
a preparation worksheet\n	Learn and practice a simple and effective framewo
rk or process to use when having a difficult conversation\n	Discuss how to
deal with emotions in these situations\n	Identify steps to take after a dif
ficult conversation to normalize and build for future conversation.\n\n\n[
