Currently, Dr. Lisa Lorenzino, Professor of Music Education, is in southern Chile with seven current and former Schulich School of Music Students as part of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas Global Leaders Program. After three days of seminars and meetings, the students have moved to a variety of locations throughout southern Chile to keep students active in free after-school music programs designed to empower youth. They will also be active as performers in the various communities. Sponsored by the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, the Global Leaders Program trains musicians to become involved as social entrepreneurs and gives them the opportunity to put their knowledge to work in various missions throughout the world. The Schulich School of Music is proud to be an official partner of the program.
