Present and Past-Presidents' Letters

Past-President's Letter

Ginette Lamontagne
Ginette Lamontagne

Dear colleagues,

On June 2nd, I stepped down after having served seven years as President of MURA: initially as interim President, followed by two three-year terms. I was pleased to pass on the baton to our colleague, Ante L. Padjen, with my best wishes of success.

At the AGM that day, I was surprised to receive an outpouring of messages from many of you, thanking me and wishing me well. I was deeply touched by these heartwarming and appreciative messages from friends, colleagues, as well as several of you whom I have yet to have the pleasure of meeting.

Dear colleagues,

I feel particularly privileged to follow in the footsteps of such a capable and accomplished founding president. Ginette Lamontagne and her Executive teams (Wes Cross, Henry Leighton, Joan Wolforth, Katherine Gray-Donald, Kate Maguire, and Bob Stanley) have established a relevant association of retired members of McGill University that functions exceptionally well. I would also like to thank departing members of the Board, Kathy Mayhew, Judy Pharo and Beverlea Tallant I welcome new members John Gradwell, VP External, Patricia Forbes, Pamela Miller and Lawrence Mysak. We will work diligently to build upon these foundations.
