 ednesday.\n\nFor Christians\, Ash Wednesday is a solemn day on which we re
 member that we are human and remember that we are going to die some day. I
 t is a day of prayer\, when we acknowledge the situations where we have fa
 iled to love God\, love one another\, and love the planet. In this acknowl
 edgement\, we ask God to help us to grow in love.\n\nDuring this time of w
 orship\, we will receive ashes in the shape of the cross on our foreheads\
 , reminding us that God made us from the dust\, and someday we will return
  to the dust. We will also hear readings from the Bible\, pray for ourselv
 es and the world around us\, sing hymns\, and receive the Eucharist.\n\nTh
 e service at 12:15 will have organ music and a singer. There will be a sec
 ond service at 7:30 with organ and choir.\n
