McGill receives a $12.3M research investment from the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ)

The Government of Quebec and the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) have announced a significant $265.3M investment in scholarships and grants for the 2025-2026 funding year, supporting research across key FRQ sectors: Nature and Technologies, Health, Society and Culture, and Interdisciplinary Research.
73 McGill research projects were awarded $12.3M in FRQ’s 2025-2026 funding year. Amongst FRQ’s three sectors, McGill received: $3.4M towards research in Society and Culture, $5.2M towards Health Research, and $6.8M towards research in Nature and Technologies. Five McGill research projects were identified as interdisciplinary and received funding across all three key sectors.
