About LEAF^MS

Laboratory for Environmental, Agricultural and Food Mass Spectrometry - LEAF^MS is a state-of-the-art core facility within Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (AES) at the Macdonald Campus of McGill University. LEAF^MS provides advanced mass spectrometry services and scientific expertise to researchers at McGill University, as well as external academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners.

LEAF^MS is currently equipped with eight cutting‑edge mass spectrometers including UHPLC‑IM‑QToF‑HRMS, UHPLC‑QToF‑HRMS, UHPLC‑Q‑Orbitrap‑HRMS, IonTrap-LC-MS/MS, GC‑QToF‑HRMS with automated headspace and solid‑phase microextraction (SPME) extraction, GC‑MSD, and EA-GC‑IRMS. This comprehensive instrumentation portfolio enables the characterization and quantification of a wide range of chemical compounds from diverse biological, environmental, agricultural, and food-related matrices.
