In 2008, the Goodman Cancer Research Centre (GCRC) and the Segal Cancer Centre (SCC) decided to strengthen their existing strategic training programs by merging them into one program called the McGill Integrated Cancer Research Training Program (MICRTP). The new program is supported by the CIHR Training Grant in Cancer Research whose Principal Investigators are Dr. Michel Tremblay (GCRC) and Dr. Wilson Miller (SCC). The program, which started in 2009, will run for six years and will provide graduate students and postdoctoral /clinical fellows with a novel curriculum and funding opportunities. Dr. Nicole Beauchemin (GCRC) and Dr. Alan Spatz (SCC) are the Co-Directors of the program.
