 ital Image Correlation and Complementary Experimental Techniques for Advan
 ced Material Characterization.' In this seminar Hamidpour outlines the fun
 damentals of DIC and show how it can be integrated with tensile\, compress
 ion and dynamic tests to deliver high‑fidelity material‑property data for 
 advanced engineering applications. Hamidpour is a mechanical engineer with
  more than ten years of combined academic and industrial experience in exp
 erimental mechanics\, numerical modelling\, and advanced composite/ceramic
  manufacturing. He is currently a Researcher at the National Research Coun
 cil Canada and a Research Assistant at the Concordia Center for Composites
 \, where he develops and tests 4D‑printed composite and resin‑derived cera
 mic structures​. Earlier\, he was a Visiting Researcher in the LM2 Laborat
 ory at Polytechnique Montréal\, pioneering the use of Digital Image Correl
 ation (DIC) to quantify fracture processes in viscoelastic polymers​. Dr. 
 Hamidpour earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Shiraz Universit
 y and has authored more than fifteen peer‑reviewed publications\, includin
 g recent work in Composite Part C\; he also received the prestigious NSERC
  Horizon Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2022.\n
