Undergraduates accepted into the Integrated Sensor Systems Training Program Participate in a 16 week funded research project on integrated sensor development at one of the four participating universities and participate in a number of special training activities intended to introduce and expand their understanding of the scintillating world of integrated sensor systems research.
Location: Rm. 7130 Wong Building, 3610 University Street - Montreal
Main Instructor: Prof. Pierre-Luc Girard-Lauriault, Department of Chemical Engineering
Co-Instructors: Prof. Raynald Gauvin & Prof. Marta Cerruti, Department of Mining and Materials Engineering
Sensors are the means by which we learn about the world. Sensors are everywhere. They affect and incorporate many areas and disciplines:
MIAM brings together diverse research facilities housed in various departments and faculties at McGill.
These include the Microfab-Nanotools Facility in the Rutherford Physics building and the Characterization Facility which has equipment in Otto-Maass (Chemistry), the Wong Building (Mining and Materials Engineering) as well as the McGill Cancer Center and several other locations.
