March 12, 2020
Dear All,
Thank you to everyone who contacted us about the status of the MFORUM conference scheduled for next week. In short, we are committed to your health and safety and have decided to postpone the conference to a later date (TBD), likely in the fall.
Like you, we have been concerned about COVID-19. We have been monitoring the available information and have been in conversation with the University leadership about our options given the seriousness of the situation.
We are in the process of reversing all MMP transactions, effectively cancelling all registrations. We will provide registrants with more information once we receive an update about the process.
In terms of rescheduling, our intention is to find a date that works for our presenters, and provide ‘Building the “M” in Momentum at McGill: a Practical Guide’ at that time. We will let you know of the new date, and open registration then.
For further information on the University’s response to this situation, we encourage you to refer to consult the University’s Coronavirus webpage.
We are disappointed that we will not see you next week, but we are more committed to ensuring that all of us are healthy and safe.
Be well, and stay healthy!

10h30 Strategic Career Planning at McGillSpeaker: Suzana Kafadar de Rodriguez, Director, Administration & Finance, Faculty of DentistryDescription: In this session, Suzana will present a career planning tool to you which she came across in one of her HR courses during her Management studies at McGill. Working through this career and development planning template turned out to be an insightful and inspiring exercise, and very relevant for performance dialogue, developing a CV, preparing for interviews, and developing a concrete action plan for the next career move. In the different sections of this exercise, we will look at personal vision, mission and values, various psychometric assessment tools, a new way of presenting your job history, your present situation and future career options, a development of your personal career timeline, and a concrete action plan to take you to the next step.
During her years at HR, she pursued further training at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies and obtained a graduate diploma in Management with a concentration in Human Resources in 2013. As of January 2012, Suzana spent three years working as the Assistant to the Senior Director and Office Manager of Human Resources before joining the Faculty of Medicine as a Financial Officer for one of the Administrative Excellence Centres (AEC 2) in December 2014. She was named Interim Associate Director of the same AEC in 2016 and was officially confirmed in her role in 2017. In September 2019, Suzana joined the Faculty of Dentistry as their new Director of Administration and Finance. |

SESSION D: The Art & Science of Intentional LeadershipSpeaker: Melissa Neverson, Special Projects Consultant, Licensed Facilitator of Danielle LaPorte’s Desire MapDescription: The key to leadership is not in what we do, but in who we are. When you can stand up, authentically and with integrity, for your vision, you inspire yourself and those around you to do the same, which in turn makes for more effective leaders within the organization. Danielle LaPorte’s Desire Mapping framework is a heart-centered approach to creating our lives with mindful intention. We can’t control all circumstances, but we get to choose how we feel about everything. This interactive session will help you explore the balance between your head and your heart, the process of choice and how you can develop a greater sense of clarity and purpose in your work. In this workshop you will:
