DESCRIPTION:McGill University was commissioned by Alzheimer’s Disease Inter
 national (ADI) to deliver both the 2021 and 2022 editions of the World Alz
 heimer Report on the crucial and inter-related topics of diagnosis and pos
 t-diagnostic support.\n	\n	The World Alzheimer Report 2021\, Journey through
  the diagnosis of dementia\, was delivered by the McGill co-editors in Sep
 tember 2021 and is available to view at your convenience.\n	\n	The World Alz
 heimer Report 2022\, Life after diagnosis: Navigating treatment\, care and
  support will launch on September 21\, 2022\, with a panel discussion to h
 ighlight the report’s key findings and recommendations.\n	\n	Topics will inc
 lude:\n\n\n	The impact of diagnosis on people living with dementia\, their 
 carers and families\;\n	Medical\, emotional and practical considerations du
 ring the varying stages of dementia\, including for different forms of dem
 entia\;\n	Current and future pharmacological\, cognitive and multidomain in
 terventions in dementia\;\n	The impact of culture and society on post-diagn
 osis support for people living with dementia\, introducing models of care 
 from across the world\;\n	The importance of education and training about de
 mentia.\n\n\nThe panelists will include two of the report’s lead authors f
 rom the McGill Dementia Education Program\, Founder Claire Webster along w
 ith Academic Co-Lead and Professor Emeritus in Neurology and Psychiatry\, 
 Dr. Serge Gauthier. The webinar will include testimonies of the lived expe
 rience\, as well as authors of expert essays within the report.\n	\n	UPDATE:
