DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canad
a\, Simulation Summit 2017 will take place on November 1-2\, 2017  at Le C
entre Sheraton in Montreal\, Quebec.\n\nThis unique interprofessional medi
cal simulation education conference attracts hundreds of international sim
ulation educators\, researchers\, health care professionals and other indi
viduals engaged in the field of simulation.\n\nThis year’s conference them
e is 'Simulation for Health Systems\, Care and Quality.” The program featu
res more than 20 innovative and practical professional development worksho
ps tailored towards interprofessional audiences\, including:\n\n\n	Emotions
under the microscope: Studying and measuring emotions in simulation-based
education\n	Disaster simulation: How can we become better prepared?\n	Human
factors in simulation-based team training\n	How to utilize simulation for
the assessment of resuscitation competence\n	Optimizing learning with Cogni
tive Load Theory (CLT)\n	Debriefing the debriefing made easy: A simple appr
oach to identifying and closing performance gaps\n\n\n\n	In addition to int
 eractive\, small-group workshops\, the 2017 Simulation Summit will feature
four dynamic plenary sessions from a diverse group of speakers\, includin

ction\, team leadership styles\, and debriefing will be on display in a tr
uly unique fashion.\n\nSimulation Summit 2017 provides an incredible profe
ssional development opportunity for simulation educators\, physicians\, nu
 rses\, and health professional educators with an interest in simulation\;
the ability to learn\, train and network alongside researchers and healthc
are professionals from different institutions and disciplines is what make
s Simulation Summit so valuable.\n\nThe knowledge translation involved in
the programming gives participants practical tools\, insights and ideas to
apply to their own simulation practice. In action\, they have the potenti
