Standing Committee on Research and Committee for the Oversight of Shared Research Resource Facilities

The Standing Committee on Research (SCoR) is mandated by the Vice-Principal (Health Affairs) & Dean of Medicine to provide strategic and operational oversight of all aspects of research for the Faculty of Medicine. This committee brings together research leaders from across the Faculty, ensuring broad and inclusive representation, and will serve as an important forum to address issues of concern and help build the Faculty’s research strategic direction and culture.

The Committee for the Oversight of Shared Research Resource Facilities (COSRRF) is mandated by the Vice-Principal (Health Affairs) & Dean of Medicine to provide strategic and operational oversight of all shared research facilities (cores) for the Faculty of Medicine. In addition to internal McGill members, this committee brings together expert users and scientific directors of core facilities external to the Faculty (and/or University), ensuring broad representation and avoiding conflict of interest in review and funding decisions. The COSRRF will provide guidance concerning the development, operations and continued relevance of core facilities within the Faculty.
