Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children Montreal, Canada.

Shriner's International is a Masonic Society founded in 1870 whose principal charitable effort is the care of children with orthopedic disease. The first hospital dedicated to this mission opened in Louisiana in 1922 and was particularly concerned with polio, which had reached epidemic proportions at the time. The Montreal based Shriner's Hospital opened on the southwestern slope of Mount Royal in 1925 with a 60-bed capacity. Although first dedicated to children up to 14 years of age, patients are now treated up to their 21st birthday. The hospital moved to the site of the McGill University Health Center next to the Children’s Hospital in 2015.
