Health Outreach Projects (HOP)

Jeanne-Mance High School students learned how to draw blood and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) using task trainers.

As per the mandate of the inter-professional Widening Participation Committee, The Faculty of Medicine Office of Admissions is committed to championing outreach in our community. This is always with a view to a diverse, inclusive and accessible culture in terms of recruitment to the Faculty.

In January 2015, we were thrilled to partner with the student run organization A Day in the Life of Medicine to offer the Bench 2 Bedside Conference for Youth at the state-of-the-art Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning. Over 100 students were sponsored to participate in the daylong program focusing on Translational Medicine.
