Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (CIPSS)

Established in 1995, the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (CIPSS) combines the academic strengths in international security studies in these two universities. The joint activities include: academic conferences, a post-doctoral fellowship, a graduate student workshop, an occasional paper series, joint graduate student training, field research support for PhD candidates, etc. The program is primarily funded by the Security and Defense Forum (SDF) of the Canadian Department of National Defense and is directed be faculty from the Political Science departments of both universities.
