March 28, 2023 | In recent years, tens of thousands of migrants have entered Canada via Roxham Road in the hope of finding a better life. However, this tolerated system is now a thing of the past. What does the sudden closure of this controversial crossing mean?
To answer what awaits the migrants that attempt to cross the border, Pearl Eliadis says “People trying to enter Canada will be arrested and may be sent back to the United States. Some people fear that migrants will be “detained automatically” after being sent back south of the border.”
