RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITIONS

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Research support for projects at the intersection of digital technology, media and democracy.
  • Specific topics will include platform regulation, the impact of technology on society, the politics of digital technology, civic journalism, AI ethics and governance, and international tech policy coordination.
  • Research tasks will include literature reviews, background research and interview preparation for ongoing writing projects as well as a podcast.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Graduate program in Political Science or Communication Studies

OTHER QUALIFYING SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Research interest in issues at the intersection of digital technology, media and democracy an asset. Interest in or experience with podcasts or interview production would be an asset.

  • Master’s degree in economics; good knowledge of economic policy; clear communication skills; teaching experience
