DESCRIPTION:Title: Hyperfiniteness of boundary actions of graphical small c
ancellation groups\n\nAbstract: Given a Gromov hyperbolic space equipped w
ith an action of a group by isometries\, one can study the orbit equivalen
ce relation of the induced action of the group on the Gromov boundary of t
he space. Marquis and Sabok proved that the action of hyperbolic groups on
their Gromov boundaries turns out to have the property that the orbits ca
n be arranged into lines in a consistent manner\, a property known as hype
rfiniteness. We show that (infinitely presented) graphical small cancellat
ion groups exhibit a similar phenomenon\, inducing hyperfinite orbit equiv
alence relations on the boundaries of their natural hyperbolic Cayley grap
hs. This is joint work with Damian Osajda and Koichi Oyakawa.\n\nWe will g
ather for teatime in the lounge after the talk.\n
