 ern classes of subvarieties over partial flag varieties. The Chern–Schwart
 z–MacPherson (CSM) classes extend the classical notion of Chern classes to
  singular varieties. In this talk\, we will outline the computation of CSM
  classes for Schubert varieties\, Richardson varieties\, and projected Ric
 hardson varieties within partial flag varieties. Our main result establish
 es a connection between the CSM classes of projected Richardson varieties 
 and those of affine Schubert varieties via the affine Grassmannian. By com
 paring these classes\, we provide a new pipe dream model for the Grassmann
 ian case\, known as\n\npositroid varieties. This is a joint work with N. F
