 ding a canonical representative of a complexified Kähler class on a compac
 t complex manifold. In 2020\, Schlitzer and Stoppa proposed a geometric PD
 E\, whose solutions conjecturally give the required canonical representati
 ve of the class. I will explain a variational framework in which to consid
 er their equation\, focussing on an associated system of geodesic equation
 s for Kähler potentials. In particular\, I will explain how to prove uniqu
 eness of solutions of the PDE in the toric setting.\n
