 matic Semester focuses on the advances in Algebras\, Representation Theory
  and certain areas of Physics and Quantum Information. Special functions w
 ill intervene at times as links between topics. It will consist in six 1-m
 onth concentration periods devoted to ongoing research in cutting edge top
 ics\; each will involve 1- or 2-week workshops that will be preceded by a 
 number of preparatory mini-courses. While each period will have its own pe
 rsonality\, there will be threads throughout the semester which should mak
 e the whole program tight\, stimulating\, and exciting. The thematic semes
 ter will include the organization of the SIAM-sponsored international conf
 erence Orthogonal Polynomials\, Special Functions and Applications (OPSFA)
