DESCRIPTION:\n	Title: Change-point analysis for complex data structures\n\n
\n\n	Abstract:\n\n\nThe change-point analysis is more than sixty years old.
Over this long period\, it has been an important subject of interest in m
any scientific disciplines such as finance and econometrics\, bioinformati
 cs and genomics\, climatology\, engineering\, and technology.\n\nIn this t
alk\, I will provide a general overview of the topic alongside some histor
ical notes. I will then review the most recent and transformative advancem
ents on the subject. Finally\, I will discuss the change-point methodologi
es that my research team has developed over the past several years\, cover
ing various complex data structures.\n\n\n	Speaker\n\n\nShoja Chenouri is a
Professor and associate chair in the Department of Statistics and Actuari
al Science at the University of Waterloo. Professor Chenouri’s research in
terests include: data depth\, multivariate nonparametric and robust method
 s\, geometry of high-dimensional data\, multivariate quality control\, dim
 ensionality reduction.\n\nhttps://mcgill.zoom.us/j/83436686293?pwd=b0RmWml
