DESCRIPTION:Real zeros of Fekete polynomials and applications.\n\nAbstract:
  Fekete polynomials are certain Littlewood type polynomials whose coeffici
 ents are the values of a quadratic Dirichlet character. These polynomials 
 were considered by Fekete in an attempt to understand real zeros of Dirich
 let L-functions in the critical strip. Since then\, their zeros and value 
 distribution have been extensively studied. In this talk I will present so
 me recent results concerning real zeros of Fekete polynomials.  We shall a
 lso discuss applications to sign changes of quadratic character sums and z
 eros of theta functions. This is a joint work with O. Klurman and M. Munsc
