 : We will start with a survey on (some very recent) results on the low spe
 ctrum of random compact hyperbolic surfaces\, for various models including
  discrete and continuous Teichmuller spaces. We will then give some ideas 
 of the proofs by emphasizing the analogy with radom graphs. We will also d
 icuss non compact situations where similar results on resonances can be ob
