 ustering to incorporate domain knowledge. We will discuss emerging RQ opti
 mization problems\, variational principles\, and\n\nreformulations to alge
 braic linear and nonlinear eigenvalue problems. We will show how to exploi
 t underlying properties of these eigenvalue\n\nproblems for designing fast
  solvers\, and illustrate the efficacy of these solvers in applications.\n
