Title: Quasinormal modes via isomonodromy.
Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce the method of isomonodromic deformations to study the quasinormal modes (QNMs) of a charged scalar field on a Reissner-Nordström anti-de Sitter (RN-AdS5) black hole. Namely, we need to recast the boundary value problem of the radial second-order ordinary differential equation in terms of an initial value problem of an isomonodromic tau function. Then we can obtain asymptotic expansions for the fundamental QNMs in the small radius and the near extremal black hole limit.
