A Faster-than-light Introduction to Special Relativity
Abstract:
The aim of this seminar is the introduction of some of the most important ideas in Special Relativity, both from a mathematical and a physical point of view. Among them, we will analyze Einstein's relativity principle, Lorentz's transformations and related consequences, and the geometry of Minkowski space-time.
Time permitting, we will touch on some aspects of General Relativity and the Rindler black hole will be presented.
