Liz Thomas

My name is Liz Thomas, and I am a final year Finance and International Business student at the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University, Montreal Canada. I am from Kenya, and originally from South Sudan. My professional experience spans operations and project support roles. I have worked in a team of 12 Peer Ambassadors and Supporters at the Desautels Career Centre to assist Management students in navigating the wealth of information available at the Faculty’s Career Centre. In 2019, I volunteered over thirty (30) hours a week to support the planning team in making the annual Jaclyn Fisher Management Career Fair a success. In 2020, I led the Peer Ambassadors team as the Peer Lead. I have also worked at the McGill Executive Institute as a Specialised Hospitality Assistant. Here, I provided professional assistance and services to clients, guests, and the management team to ensure the seamless conducting of classes and events.

Given my educational background in finance coupled with my passion for management, my career goals are geared towards financial management opportunities.
