 OUT THE SPEAKER\n\nStephen Potter is an experienced international developm
 ent specialist at Global Affairs Canada. He is currently Director of Agric
 ulture and Food Systems\, where he oversees Canada’s efforts to support gl
 obal food security. In his twenty-five years with the Canadian Government\
 , Stephen has served in Peru\, Honduras\, Tanzania\, and Ukraine. In Ukrai
 ne\, he led Canada’s efforts to scale up development assistance for reform
 s following the 2014 ‘Revolution of Dignity.’ More recently\, Stephen coor
 dinated the creation of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.
  Stephen has an MSc in International Rural Development Planning from the U
 niversity of Guelph\, and a BA in International Development from the same 
 institution. He has three grown children and has recently taken up beekeep
 ing.\n\nThis event is held in conjunction with the School of Continuing St
 udies and the Institute for the Study of International Development\, McGil
 l University.\n
