 stari obtained his PhD from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Rio de Janeiro\, B
 razil)\, where he worked on the mechanisms of complement evasion by Trypan
 osoma cruzi. In 2010\, he joined Dr. Ken Stuart’s laboratory at the Center
  for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR\; Seattle\, USA) as a postdoctoral 
 scientist\, where he discovered a role for phosphatidylinositol molecules 
 in the regulation of antigenic variation in Trypanosoma brucei. He is curr
 ently a staff scientist studying antigenic variation and life stage develo
 pment in trypanosomes.\n\nEVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND.\n
