 itology\nRNA editing is a post-transcriptional modification in which a bas
 e is substituted by another one or inserted or deleted. In trypanosomatids
 \, RNA editing is carried out by uridine insertion or deletion. A multipro
 tein complex\, the editosome\, trims the mitochondrial mRNA transcripts\, 
 and it consists of twenty know proteins out of which kinetoplastid RNA edi
 ting ligases 1 and 2 (KREL1 and KREL2) were subjects of this study.\n\nEve
 ryone in the McGill community is welcome to attend a PhD oral defense. Ple
