New CIHR Funding for Ludmer Researchers

We are delighted to celebrate Rosemary C. Bagot, Claudia L. Kleinman and Loïc Binan, Ludmer Centre researchers who have received new funding through the CIHR Spring 2026 Project Grant competition.

Rosemary C. Bagot is the Principal Investigator on Multiscale investigation of dynamic valence encoding in the nucleus accumbens. This research will investigate how neural circuits encode valence—the positive or negative value associated with experiences—and how these processes contribute to behaviour.

Claudia L. Kleinman and Loïc Binan are Co-Principal Investigators on Single-cell epigenome profiling of pediatric high-grade gliomas to detect therapeutic vulnerabilities. The project applies advanced single-cell epigenomic approaches to better understand pediatric brain tumours and identify potential therapeutic vulnerabilities.

These awards recognize the excellence, innovation and collaborative strength of research led by Ludmer Centre investigators and reflect the Centre’s commitment to advancing knowledge in brain and mental health.

Congratulations to Rosemary, Claudia, Loïc and their collaborators on this outstanding achievement!
