Details

To download newspapers you must be on the university network, either on the McGill Wifi or from home using your Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your iPad, iPhone/iPod, or Android device.

Each individual McGill user is entitled to download 5 issues per person per day. The number of issues is re-set every 24 hours, at midnight GMT, each day.

A Mendeley account is required before this app can be used. If necessary, create one by completing the short form at www.mendeley.com and verifying your email address. It is not possible to create an account from the iPad app.

Installation instructions

  1. To access McGill's subscription from the iPad app, you must first create a personal username and password.  To do this, access the Stat!Ref website from this location, log in to EZ Proxy with your McGill username and password if necessary, and then click on "Your Preferences" in the top right corner of the home page.
  2. If you do not have a “Your Preferences” account, set up your account by simply entering your details, including an e-mail address and password.  Then click the "Temporary Login Account" tab and then on the "Active/Renew" icon.  This will then allow you to log in to the Stat!Ref iPad app and access McGill's subscription.
  3. Download the app from this location
  4. Once the app has been installed, open it and touch the "User Name & Password" icon from the app home screen.  Then enter the email address and password you used to create your personal Stat!Ref account.
  5. Accept the End User License Agreement.
  6. You will then have full access to the Stat!Ref book collection from the "Navigate" button at the top right of the screen.

Details

McGill users must first register with a username and password. Go to UpToDate and click on Register Now. Users will then be sent an email message with additional registration information. Sign into the app with the username and password you created on the UpToDate website.
