Searching the catalogue

For more resources, consult the library catalogue: McGill WorldCat. You can search using words like - mobility, system, system*, lunar, etc.

Search tips for the library catalogue

Truncation symbol: * e.g. meteorolog* will retrieve catalogue records containing the words meteorology, meteorological, meteorologists, etc.
Phrase searching: "___" e.g. "climate change" will retrieve catalogue records containing the phrase climate change
Boolean operators: (), AND, OR, NOT
default: AND
Boolean operators must be in capital letters
e.g. precipitation AND (climate OR weather) will retrieve catalogue records containing the words precipitation AND either climate OR weather

  • You can download EndNote citation management software for free. With this software you can get references directly from many databases, such as Web of Science.
  • Please note, use Firefox as your browser for best results when using EndNote on a Mac.
  • EndNote Web is now available at McGill University. To access EndNote Web you need to create a personal account. You may sign up for an account with your McGill email address at www.myendnoteweb.com.
