Description

Alaska in Maps is a thematic atlas that contains special topic maps. The CD includes the full text, graphs and maps from the printed atlas. In addition, the interactive map section allows you to make your own thematic maps of Alaska.

User Guide / Search Tips

CD contains a user guide. In addition, To view and create thematic maps you must have access to the Alaska in Maps software located on only ONE workstation at the Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre. The original printed maps are available in {.tif} image format and can be used in any image software program. To extract GIS data from the digital atlases, you must have access to ArcGIS®, available on the workstations at the Walter Hitschfeld Geographic Information Centre, EDRS, and the MacDonald Campus Library.
