Vernissage | McGilliana: 200 Years of Student Life

Wednesday, September 29, 2021 17:30to18:30
McLennan Library Building Rare Books and Special Collections, McLennan Library Building 4th floor, 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

Event Description: Join us as we kick off the 2021-2022 academic year. We are delighted to welcome you back to student life with a virtual vernissage of “McGilliana: 200 Years of Student Life,” a bicentennial exhibition that highlights memorabilia and more from the McGill University Archives. Get a taste of campus life as it was 50, 100, or even 200 years ago. Join us for a sneak peek into the curatorial and creative work that took place behind the screens this past year. Exhibition curator Aeron MacHattie will give a guided tour through the material, and Jacquelyn Sundberg will give a talk on "Quiz That So!," the library's digital trivia game that features exhibition content.

Note, because our buildings are currently open for University Business only, this event will now be virtual, and hosted on Zoom.

RSVP to save your virtual seat.

The exhibition can be viewed virtually (website link to come) and will be on view in the lobby of McLennan Library Building from September 29 – December 17, 2021 during opening hours.

Copies of our latest publication, AMAZE: a McGill A to Z Experience will be available for purchase over the phone.
