Book discussion | Shatila Stories

Tuesday, March 12, 2019 17:00to19:00
Morrice Hall Octagon Room, Islamic Studies Library, 3485 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0E1, CA

Join us for a discussion of Shatila Stories, a collective fictional work written by nine witnesses of the Shatila massacre.

‘This remarkable novel isn’t about the refugee voice; it is born from it and told through it. On every page, the glint of hope for dignity and a better life is heartbreakingly alive.’
-Khaled Hosseini, author of The Kite Runner.

Casual book discussion led by the Palestine book club. The book is available for borrowing and consultation in the Islamic Studies Library. We welcome all who want to discuss, no reading necessary.
