Online Events

  • Search your email for a message from roaar.library [at] mcgill.ca, and be sure to check your junk folder. Please email roaar.library [at] mcgill.ca if you need the link re-sent.
  • We record our events and publish them to the McGill Library YouTube Channel after the event. We will send out the link to the recording to everyone who RSVP'd for the event. We only record the speakers and panelists screens.
  • We encourage everyone to participate in the discussion at our online events via YouTube or Zoom chats. If the event is on Zoom, we welcome chat and ideas throughout the event in the zoom chat. We always have a Q and A session, and we will voice questions for online attendees. For smaller events, we may allow participants to engage directly and unmute.
  • For larger events, we Livestream to the McGill Library YouTube Channel, and we welcome chat and participation on YouTube chat. Note, you do need to be logged in to a YouTube account to chat, but not to watch the event.
  • For events held on Zoom, we invite you to turn on your video so that we can better engage with you throughout the event, but you are free to turn your video on or off, whatever makes you more comfortable. Note that we will never record your video.
