Library Reappointment Committee (LRC) / Library Tenure Committee (LTC)

1. Responsibilities

Reappointment

The Library Reappointment Committee (LRC) shall:

  • choose the LRTC chair;
  • review the candidate’s dossier according to the Regulations Relating to the Employment of Librarian Staff and Guidelines on Criteria for Reappointment for Tenure Track Librarian Staff;
  • assess the candidate’s performance in the 3 areas of the Academic duties:
    • Position responsibilities, which is the most important of the academic duties,
    • Professional and scholarly activities,
    • Other contributions to the University and scholarly communities;
  • Submit a written report containing substantive reasons to the Dean of Libraries and to the staff member recommending either the reappointment of the staff member for a further definite term or the non-renewal of the staff member’s appointment.
